WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

ARE MINORS ALLOWED AT SHOWS?

Generally, no. The exception is Sundays when we do "dry" shows that are all ages by default. Otherwise, on a weekday, if an all ages show is announced, it will be an afternoon matinee. The majority of the time, howard, The Backside is a 21+ event space.

WHERE CAN I PURCHASE TICKETS?

We are a cash-only business. The only way to buy a ticket is to show up on time and pay cash at the door.

WHAT IS THE PHOTO-POLICY FOR THE SHOWS?

No flash photography. Photography and video is only permitted during the first 3 songs of each set.

If a band has their own photo policy for their show, this will override our house policy. Please check with the venue on the day of show to see if there is a band photo policy in place.

WHAT IS THE BACKPACK/BAG POLICY FOR SHOWS?

All bags entering Doug Fir Lounge are subject to search. Large bags (backpacks, messenger bags, luggage, etc.) are prohibited.

IS THE VENUE ADA ACCESSIBLE?

Yes. There is a street-level entrance and an ADA-compliant bathroom. If you need special assistance or have questions, please contact us at thebacksidestl@gmail.com or DM us at @thebacksidestl.

ARE SERVICE ANIMALS ALLOWED?

Service animals are allowed at The Backside. Under the ADA, a service animal is defined as a dog that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. The task(s) performed by the dog must be directly related to the person’s disability. The ADA requires that service animals be under the control of the handler at all times. Generally, the animal must stay on the floor; seating, food, and drink are provided for customer use only. If your band, show, or event is openly racist, sexist, homophobic or transphobic this is where you hit "close tab" and look elsewhere.

Yes, we are able to record your show. You'll get a stereo mix from the mixer and room mics as two separate files.
